Why Hello There ;)

Ahh. I’ve been enjoying my Summer Break! It’s been so nice. I got my report card today and found out I got 3.905 for my 4th quarter grade! I was so excited! That means I get $500 from my Grandpa, and get a car! It really has been amazing (the whole rollercoaster itself). All late-night and stressful studying paid off!

Overall, I’ve just been enjoying a break from hectic school. Tomorrow I will be begin my journey to Goshen, Virginia for Young Life Camp. I am so excited and all of my friends say it’s gonna be the best week of your summer. It will be for 1 week and it’s like an adventure camp. I am very excited and can’t wait.

Hopefully after camp I will be able to fly down to Florida and meet up with some of my friends and family!

Why Hello There.

Lately I have been investing all of my time into my schoolwork. My parents made a deal with me that if I obtain a 3.8 GPA for the 4th quarter, they will get me a car and let me drive as much as I want. Not only is it the car I am ecstatic about, but as is the freedom! Another huge plus is that if I make the grade, my parents will let me have a study hall first period all throughout my senior year so I can arrive 45 minutes later to school everyday :D.

As if the deal couldn’t get any better, my grandfather said he would give me $500 bonus cash if I get the 3.8.

So now you why you I’ve been so busy. A 3.8 seems a lot easier than it sounds. Since at my school, an A (4.0) is a 93% or higher; an A- is a miserly 3.66. So in other words, I could have straight A-’s and not get a 3.8. I know in some schools, a 4.0 is a 90% or higher. Sounds like a small difference, but it’s not :p.

I’ve never worked so hard in my life and I really hope I reach my goal. Being the strong-willed and determined person I am. I got this ;) 

Day 122 - May 2, 2011.

Just got back from a Young Life Club Meeting. Young Life is this AMAZING club that consists of kids from my high school. We meet in a warehouse every Monday @ 8pm. The club is based around becoming closer to God as teenagers, but we mostly just play games, have fun, and learn about God and the bible. It’s just a group of great kids coming together just to have a great time and connect with God. Some of the major activities that take place are: games, skits, singing & dancing, and a 10min discussion on how we can relate God to our teenage life. The club is run by a group of college kids and a teacher at my school. I started going there last week after a few kids recommended that I should go and it was probably one of the most fun times I’ve had this year! Everyone is just so friendly and nice. It’s something about not being in school, I don’t really know how to explain it At club, I can just be myself, mess around, dance, put my arm around a friend and sing. At school, you pretty much interact with the friends that you associate with and more reserved. At club, everyone kind of just comes together and you end up meeting a ton of new people.After the club, we all head over to Chipotle to eat some delicious burritos and socialize :D.

After I started going to Young Life, it really has helped me meet a ton of new people, and more importantly, become closer with God. With my new set of awesome friends and their strong support, ultimately, Young Life has shaped me into becoming a much better person. All my friends their are just so supportive and give me the motivation I need to conquer something that I normally would even think about attempting.

Besides being a great club, Young Life is a great way to start the week and give me a reason to look forward to Mondays. With church on Sunday and Young Life on Monday, my week is now way more fun and I get the opportunity to hang out with my friends much more.

5 or 10  years down the road, when I look back on my high school career, I will always remember the great Young Life memories, and how they played such a big role in my teenage life.

Day 121 - May 1, 2011.

Hi there! Well I’ve got good news and bad news! I guess I’ll share the bad news first. The bad news is: I know, I know, it’s been AGES since my last post. 74 days to be exact :/. But the good news is… I’M BACK! I am finally back on tumblr and plan on starting up my daily posts again!

SO. You may be wondering where I’ve been this whole time. Kidnapped by Somalian Pirates? No. Traveling around the world in a hot air balloon? Yep, you caught me -_-. Nahhh. The reason why I havent been posting is due to a whole bunch of things. Lately, my life has been a huge “clustereff” lol. First of all, a bad relationship with a a friend of mine distracted me for a week or so (until I saw the whole picture). So glad thats over with! But the main thing that I’ve been working on schoolwork, tennis, and trying clear up all the clutter that has been just sitting on my shoulders for the past couple months. Along with all the problems, procrastination has set in and really bogged down my progress.

Starting today, I finally cleared up all the problems physically and mentally. I’ve found a balance for myself considering schoolwork, tennis, and personal life. Technically, I re-calibrated my life. 

I’ve noticed my life goes in this reoccurring cycle, I need some time to relax (being lazy :P), then catch up on all the work and problems that I have procrastinated with, then revise my way of life, and lastly, start a strong new beginning with a new fresh set of goals, incentives, and priorities.

^ This explains pretty much where I have been. (Even though being kidnapped by Somalian Pirates WOULD be much more interesting :P)

So there you have it. I am so happy to start this fantastic new beginning and way of life. I finally found a balance in my life and created a smart and efficient time-management plan to keep me on track to the road to success! Now I have time for schoolwork, tennis, and personal life. Oh, and can’t forget about you tumblr ;)

Day 47 - February 16th, 2011.

February is a weird month. 

The actual word “February” I mean.

The spelling implies that it should be spelled Feb-ru-ary.

I don’t know about you, but I always read it and pronounce it Feb-u-ary.

I love those weird English grammar mistakes.
